Jones started her track career in 2005 after completing her university studies. In the same year, she took home the Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026 she took home the Ostrava Track event and Heusden.

Brandt is a child of the Cape Town region. She grew up within Cape Town South Africa with her siblings and parents, immigrated to Auckland New Zealand when she was a teenager. After being discovered by local casting directors, Brandt played the part as Naevia as Naevia in Starz hits Spartacus: Blood and Sand as well as Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Working with producers Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences with her character and quickly became an one of the series' most memorable performers. Her first job was working in Auckland as a retailer, and was then promoted as an IT manager. Lesley started her career with commercials following a number of models positions. In 2008, she finished her degree in acting and continued her training in Meisner techniques of learning. The first time she had a major acting gig was in the New Zealand TV series Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on New Zealand's TV series Shortland Street as a supporting actor. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a hostage in the midst of her youth and later in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
